At Whittlesey Trailer Rentals, we understand that you may have questions about our trailer rental services and while we're happy to answer any additional questions via phone, text, or email, we have provided answers to some of the most commonly asked questions below. What information is required to rent a trailer?To rent a trailer you must be at least 25 years old and provide us with a valid driver's license, proof of insurance coverage, and a damage deposit (amount varies by trailer). Deposits are refunded once trailer has been returned and inspected for any damages.

How much does it cost to rent a trailer?All trailers have a daily and weekly rate posted on our website, which includes sales tax. Should you need to rent one of our trailers for longer than one week, we'd be happy to quote you a price for your rental term. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to offer rental terms for less than a full day at this time.

What insurance do I need?The renter is responsible for the trailer from the time it is hooked to their vehicle, until the trailer is returned to us. We require that renters reach out to their insurance agent/carrier to ensure that sufficient liability coverage will apply to the trailer and it's contents during their rental. If your insurance does not provide liability coverage for your rental, you will be required to obtain temporary coverage through our insurance provider. Our rental insurance provider offers liability coverage for as low as $7/day, and we will be happy to provide the information you need to obtain that temporary coverage.

Where and when can I pick up my rental?We are happy to meet customers or deliver trailers within the city limits of Peculiar, Missouri for no additional cost. We have a couple spots locally with sufficient space for transferring trailers from our vehicle to yours, and we're happy to meet you at whichever one you feel most comfortable with. Any meetups/deliveries outside of Peculiar, will require an additional mileage fee. Please reach out to us for a mileage quote! All pickups are done by appointment only. Evening pickups are preferred, however, daytime pickups can be scheduled with adequate notice.
